James started working at Forest Bus in September 2007 and since then has led Circle Time sessions, therapeutic art and craft, play and youth sessions.James has 10 years experience in management, training and mentoring, 7 years experience running his own business, 3 years experience as a Youth Worker in charge and 2 years experience supporting students with special needs in Key Stages 3 and 4.

He is qualified to postgraduate level and has taken various courses in youth work, art and design, assisting teaching and community development.

James uses his skills in music, art, and craft, in running workshops for young people. James has brought his creativity to the sessions where he has been responsible for overseeing the YISP work with children who face difficulties of one sort or another, as well as providing regular youth and after school work. He has also been delivering the circle time work with children in local schools. The circle time model we use is a therapeutic group work model, designed to enhance speaking, listening and concentration skills. Again this work is targetted at those children who need additional help in order to access the school curriculum and to be able to achieve more.
