Belinda McDonald has been with the Forest Bus since Aug 2005, where she is employed as an Accounts/Operations Officer and is also part of the management team. Belinda has backgound and qualifications in play work, and is an NVQ assessor and has just completed her training the trainer qualification. She brings her skills in working with children to assist in overseeing the sessions and in developing new projects. Belinda also arranges and coordinates our training programme. As well as all of this Belinda combines this with overseeing the financial management of the accounts office on a day to day basis.
Belinda previous jobs have included, teaching Cache Level 2 in Play Work at Totton College on a part time basis, working for a non-profit making organisation for 6 years where she was in charge of 6 staff. In her role Belinda oversaw the work of this organisation, which ran an After School/Holiday Club for children aged 4-12 years. Belinda was the leader of the club and helped set up another in Holbury; she was the main contact for parents and other agencies. All this experience has made Belinda an invaluable member of the team. She is always there to help with anything which may arise, and on a mobile project like the Forest Bus, things happen a daily basis!
Since January 2006, Belinda has been helping to set up both a training plan for staff, and a strategic funding plan, whilst also gaining experience in making funding applications.
In 2007, we set up the distributive leadership model for the organisation and Belinda and Rose work alongside Jane to oversee the smooth running of the Charity. As the organisation is always really busy, their input is invaluable.
