What we do...

A snapshot of our work:

We encourage communities to start up their own activities, enable people to gain new skills and give them the chance to participate in new opportunities - by taking part in projects, socialising and having fun. We work in partnership with other agencies in the delivery of these services to the community.

We work in schools on special projects such as circle time, bubble time, golden time and story sacks. These therapeutic group work models are a way of delivering specialised work with children who are experiencing difficulties either at home or at school, or who have been the subject of physical, verbal or sexual abuse. The aim is to help them to gain resilience so that they are able to cope with their difficulties and participate more fully in school life.

We aim to promote inclusion by dealing with challenging behaviours and addressing issues which may affect the attendance of children who are at risk of exclusion.

Being a mobile project, means we are able to work closely with excluded groups such as those of Gypsy Traveller origin (the main ethnic group in the area) by taking our resources onto sites in the area where there is no meeting place.

Because we are mobile, we are able to be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of a diverse range of communities and have several years experience in dealing with a variety of issues affecting children, young people and their extended families.
