From 2008 - 2010 Forest Bus undertook 3 pieces of research into the health and social needs of Gypsies and Travellers - the main ethnic group in Hampshire. A PDF document containing the combined research undertaken by forest bus is available to download on request.

The major findings of our research into Gypsy & Traveller Health

• A higher level of premature mortality with a reduced life expectancy of 55-60 years 
• Much higher than avergage levels debilitating health problems per person
• High levels of poverty
• High levels of childhood illness, far beyond the national average
